Chelsea In Bloom 2024: best Floral Feasts displays

Let’s see the best displays of Chelsea in Bloom 2024!

By Anna Purpurpurpur

Let’s welcome Chelsea In Bloom of the season 2024 – with whole London blooming with new floral menus and facades!

The annual street flower show Chelsea In Bloom, which takes place between the 20th and 26th of May alongside the Chelsea Flower Show of the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), returns to Chelsea once again. This year, creativity has flown over to a new installation theme: the Floral Feasts. The map of venues participating in the event is below.

Let’s see the best displays of Chelsea in Bloom 2024 – I was lucky to be invited as one of the first to document it. Lemons, pizzas, cakes, teapots and numerous veggies and fruits were at the centre of many displays.

The majority of the Chelsea in Bloom festival displays are spread through Sloane Square, Sloane Street, Pavilion Road, Duke of York Square, and King’s Road. I’ve collected the most impressive displays of the restaurants and shops participating in the event—have a glimpse of them below.

Our visit started at the Cinquecento, a gorgeous Italian restaurant 5 minutes away from King’s Road, where we had a fantastic breakfast (I wish Italian breakfasts were truly like this one). As you probably noticed, it has strong Neapolitan / Sicilian vibes, and the facade of the restaurant was decorated with a ‘tablecloth’ showcasing some of the typical Italian dishes eaten during the San Gennaro Festival—all made from flowers, of course.

Italian vibes were strong on other displays, too; for instance, Pizza Express was decorated with sliced and unsliced large floral pizzas.

There are a few of the most popular sites where the characters are incorporated into the Floral feast displays. See the Lady and the Tramp stand, Winnie the Pooh with friends, and a Giant Hungry Caterpillar!

Hackett, Sticks’N’Sushi and The Ivy Chelsea Garden always steal the show. At the same time, The Lloyds bank has placed a gorgeous black horse, the bank’s symbol, chewing a carrot along a market stall.

Take note of jewellery brands Astrid & Miyu with their Dolce display, the Nereides with the Strawberry display, Granado with a head wearing a Brazilian headpiece decorated with fruits, and English market by Varley.

British tea traditions and picnics were among the most popular as well. Think of the tea and sweets feast behind the Royal Ascot by LK Bennett, the Tea Party by RIXO, and the scones with clotted cream and jam from the Penhaligons.

You might also like Lollies by Moyses Stevens and Candy Floss on the Pavilion Road, as well as Skincare products bursting with flowers, Beauty Banquet by The SpaceNK.

The winners are announced on May 21st, while the People’s Champion Award winner is announced on May 24th. Tap to see how Chelsea in Bloom bloomed in 2022 (British Icons), 2021 (Extraordinary Voyages) and 2019 (Under the Sea) in my previous blogs!

Disclaimer: I was invited to review the displays and to try some delicacies as a social media influencer.

Hope you loved my new blog,

Anna
