Monaco – what associations do you get when you hear this word? \u2018Principality\u2019, \u2018House of Grimaldi\u2019, \u2018Grace Kelly\u2019, \u00a0\u2018French Riviera\u2019, \u2018James Bond\u2019, \u2018Monaco Grand Prix\u2019, or, maybe, \u2018architecture of Belle \u00c9poque\u2019? Whatever it is, I bet that link has such components as \u2018exclusively\u2019 and \u2018chic\u2019. And that\u2019s exactly how Monaco, a proud microstate in Europe, is!<\/div>\n

I was lucky to experience the best of Monaco during my stay at the Hotel Metropole<\/span> Monte Carlo – scroll down to dive into the atmosphere of ultimate luxury of Monte Carlo, one of the districts of principality!<\/div>\n

Arriving in style<\/h2>\n

How to make the most epic acquaintance with a city in order to immediately fall in love with it? Ask me! Yes, it\u2019s a transfer from airport to the hotel not in a car but in \u2026 a helicopter!<\/p>\n

It felt quite unusual because you make a separate check-in at the desk just upon your arrival from the other flight, then you have your bags checked again – and in just a short ride by car you\u2019re already in a helicopter!<\/div>\n

You feel so tiny comparing to the endless sea and seagulls look like bugs! But you definitely understand why French Riviera is called C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur – just look at these colours!<\/div>\n
\"\"<\/div>\n
After a 7-min flight you finally see the point of you destination – and I cannot think of any other way to enter a city so magnificantly.<\/div>\n
\"\"<\/div>\n
A quick car transfer picked us up and took to the Hotel Metropole<\/span> Monte Carlo – our trip was just a few minutes.<\/div>\n

The same journey back was even more terrific because of the sunset!<\/div>\n

Hotel Metropole<\/span> Monte Carlo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Just off the most known square of Monaco – Place de Casino<\/strong> – and you enter a gorgeous building of Metropole<\/span>, one of the rare privately owned hotels in the area.<\/p>\n

Glamour of the never fainting Belle-\u00c9poque and clear lines of modern time are all combined in there – I’m was glad to be invited to experience it myself.<\/div>\n

It feels like a nanostate inside the microstate of principality because it has several Michelin star restaurants, a spa and a pool. Shopping centre is also adjacent to Metropole<\/span> hotel – and actually I was impressed the most not by the variety of shops (which is btw impressive) but by their decorations and nice cafes!<\/div>\n

Luckily, we were in Monaco in the early December, so all the decorations were up! I cannot choose what I like the most: the tree made out of the gift boxes or a Nutcracker-ish corner – all children were thrilled by it while completing their own check-in!). What about you?<\/div>\n

Our room was a pure timeless chic – just look at these interiors! And I simply fell in love with our marble bathroom equipped with some quality Herm\u00e8s products.<\/div>\n

Don\u2019t stay hungry at Hotel Metropole Monte Carlo!<\/h2>\n
Luckily for us, the Hotel Metropole<\/span> has two Michelin-starred restaurants (not many hotels are like this are they?) by Jo\u00ebl Robuchon. \u00a0The team is led by chef Christophe Cussac<\/strong>. We were invited to have a dinner in one and a lunch in the other.<\/div>\n

The French styled dinner<\/strong> by was a feast for all senses. The visual part of our experience was no less important than the tasting. [smartslider3 slider=56]<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

During our dinner we were able to see the secret life of the kitchen right in front of us – the process looked absolutely magical!<\/div>\n

Breakfast is served in the same restaurant as well.<\/p>\n

No doubt you know my love for Japan – and of course I was very glad to have a lunch at Yoshi.\u00a0<\/strong>In Japanese this word means \u2018Goodness<\/em>\u2019. It\u2019s the first Japanese restaurant by Jo\u00ebl Robuchon which was awarded a Michelin-star.<\/div>\n

Vibrant color scheme by Didier Gomez, and a nice Zen-ish garden by Jacques Messin both compliment the dish selection influenced by French and Japanese cuisines. [smartslider3 slider=55]<\/p>\n

Btw, Yoshi has just recently celebrqated its 10th anniversary!<\/div>\n
Recently renovated third restaurant \u2018Odyssey<\/strong>\u2019 is also created with a contribution of a well-known person – \u00a0Karl Lagerfeld.<\/div>\n

Just look how relaxing and chic this Ancient-Greek related interior is! No greedy and envious gods or sea monsters from Homer\u2019s masterpieces are expected, only the nicest staff and blur warm waters \ud83d\ude42<\/div>\n

Beside that, I really loved he terrace overlooking the Hotel Metropole<\/span> Entrance – nothing can beat for me the classic combination of white and plant green.<\/p>\n

Spa Metropole<\/span> by Givenchy at Hotel Metropole Monte Carlo<\/h2>\n

Spa Metropole<\/span> is all about reflecting the style of Hubert de Givenchy who passed away this year aged 91. His famous House exists since 1952 and is one of my favourite big French brands.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Famous architect Didier Gomez put the Givenchy\u2019s iconic dresses into the interior of a pure glam. Just look how these white, black and gold (not cheap yellow, but deeply aged) colours almost effortlessly blend together and create a perfectly relaxing atmosphere!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Christmas decorations were sublime and setting the overall style as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
 <\/p>\n

Spa Metropole<\/span> is one of three Givenchy Spas in the world so it\u2019s a must visit if you ask me.<\/p>\n

They provide treatments both for face and body and any can be tailored to a client\u2019s needs, and you can also visit a pool (the one mentioned above), a sauna and a fitness centre.<\/p>\n

I was invited to try their Lift and Glow<\/strong> treatment based on the L\u2019intemporel blossom<\/em> skin care (if you see it in the shop, the package is of a colour of a tender cherry blossom with golden rose elements).<\/p>\n

This facial was created specifically for the Hotel Metropole.\u00a0The overall experience was a first-class one. I\u2019m a frequent spa-goer, and I\u2019m pretty sure that this facial was among the top ones I\u2019ve ever experienced.<\/span><\/p>\n

After cozying up in a chair and wrapped in a softest bathrobe, I filled in the form about my skin and daily skincare routine.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Then a pice of cloth with the fragrance of my choice from L\u2019Atelier de Givenchy Collection was put into my upper pocket and left for the entire duration of the treatment.\u00a0Then my therapist came and accompanied my to the treatment room.<\/div>\n

After having discussed my skin concerns again, the Lift and Glow began. Cleanse, moisture, cryotherapy, massage, mask – a lot of various products and techniques were coming one after another. In 45 minutes my skin was deeply moisturised and radiantly refreshed from my recent flight. Just a little more time spent in the relaxation area – and I was all ready to go!<\/div>\n
